There are many things that can affect the end result, from making sure you get enough sleep the night before, to taking a few minutes before you start to clear your mind and clear the day’s worries.

Midtone solid colors are universally flattering and help images stand out on the page. They also convert well to black and white.
Black is somber, discreet and safe. It may not portray the characteristics you want to present. If you usually wear a lot of black, try substituting richer, more neutral colors. Colors like navy, chocolate, maroon or dark green.
Pastel colors, cream or beige, usually similar to the skin tone, appear dull, washed out, and unflattering.

Avoid sleeveless tops, as bare arms accentuate the contrast between the tones and colors of your arms and your face. You may also show your armpits in certain poses, which is best avoided unless it’s a style statement and fits the tone you want to convey for your company.
A well ironed shirt on its own will give you a look that suits many different areas and looks great under a jacket too.
Don’t be afraid to experiment with textures and layers. A scarf or cashmere can easily transform a summer look from a winter one. It will also transform your neckline and add volume, texture and dimension to your photos.
We could try some shots where the hair is tied up, some shots where the hair is hanging down. The volume looks better when it’s laced back, rather than being stretched too tight. Remember to bring a comb for final adjustments.

If you wear them at your desk but won’t be wearing them for photo shoots, make sure you take them off at least half an hour before your shoot. The last thing you want is those little red marks on the side of your nose in photos!
