Recreation Mountain Bike

Recreation Mountain Bike – Valemount is home to some of BC’s best mountain biking trails. Valemount is quickly becoming a favorite destination for many riders, and the trails are the pride and joy of many Valemount locals. It sounds trite, but the Trail System has something for everyone. Our reputation started with an abundance of downhill flow style options, but over the past few years we’ve added some outstanding cross-country/all-mountain options and more technical alternatives.

In the summer of 2020 we added a cross-country network just north of Swift Creek, a few minutes’ pedal from the city center. VARDA is always expanding its trail network. Join the Bike Park Facebook page for updates!

The main staging area is minutes from downtown Valemount and is easily accessible via a quick pedal ride from downtown or via the hill drive access road. To access the trail system’s main staging area, go down 5th Avenue (main drag) and take a right turn past the railroad tracks, then the first left turn. About 1 km up the road is the main staging area for the bike park.
