It is home to the world’s largest shopping mall, the world’s largest aquarium and the second largest chemical marina in the world. Everything To Look Forward To In Dubai In 2022

But there is much more to Dubai than just shopping and crafted experiences. We spent a week exploring and found that there were many things to do in Dubai that were actually entertaining, exciting and fun.

When we have the chance to go somewhere high, we take it and you can’t forget to go up the tallest building in the world to see the view of the city. The Burj Khalifa tops all the attractions in Dubai. It is located in the heart of the city with great views. Ride the high-speed elevator up 160 floors for awe-inspiring views of Dubai. Be warned though, it gets crowded and once you’ve seen the town there isn’t much to do.

This is the famous building that Tom Cruise climbed during Mission Impossible and standing outside the observation deck gives you a lot of respect for the man. It takes a lot of nerve. Although the experience isn’t as good as other high-rise attractions we’ve visited around the world, you can’t visit Dubai without taking an elevator up. Get skip-the-line tickets to the 124th, 125th and 148th floors of the Burj Khalifa. Turn past security lines for optimal timing. This tour offers easy cancellation within 24 hours of departure. Buy refundable tickets here.

The Burj Khalifa doesn’t have the wow factor of Toronto’s CN Tower or even the glass floor of the Calgary Tower, but if there’s one thing to do in Dubai, it’s ticking the world’s tallest building off the bucket list.

Downtown Dubai isn’t exactly a walking city, but once you get to Dubai Marina, you’ll have the opportunity to stroll along the promenade. The second largest marina in the world is surrounded by cafes and restaurants where you can book boat trips and dinner cruises. This was definitely our favorite place to hang out in Dubai for the evening.

Like all things in Dubai, it is surrounded by mammoth skyscrapers and shopping malls that will take your breath away. For more exciting things to do in Dubai, head to Amwaj Towers for a cruise along the marina to the Dubai Marina Mall. Dubai does everything bigger and better, and this zipline is one of the steepest and fastest in the world. Reaching a speed of 80 km per hour, you float through the air for one kilometer.

This yacht cruise with breakfast is a great way to experience the decadence of travel in Dubai at an affordable price, where you can enjoy a morning cruise with breakfast. (also available for sunset bbq cruise). You will sail from the marina to Blue Water Island, Dubai Eye and views of Jumeira Beach, Palm Jumeirah and Burj Al Arab.

Dubai has wonderful sandy beaches. As with all beach areas, there are plenty of water sports to choose from, and plenty of beach chairs or free beach towels to set you up for a day of catching rays. The famous Burj Al Arab towers over the public beach. If you’re rich enough to stay, go! It is the most luxurious property in Dubai which is a 7 star hotel. You can actually book a stay at this hotel on TripAdvisor. It’s cheaper than you think!

We booked a hotel right on the beach and quickly learned that Dubai is a wonderful beach holiday. Located on the Persian Gulf, the waters are warm and welcoming.

Featuring a private beach, Habtoor Grand Resort Autograph Collections is within walking distance of Dubai Marina and the promenade at Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR). This hotel has a private beach, an infinity pool, and many amenities, but it also has a lot of public access. See prices for this resort on TripAdvisor.

I know we didn’t rave about the malls in our opening episode, but they’re great to look at. In fact, shopping malls are definitely the best attractions in Dubai to add to your bucket list. The Dubai Mall is the world’s largest shopping center with much more than clothing stores and boutiques.

Dubai Mall is home to the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo, where you can even dive with sharks, an ice rink, waterfalls and famous brand clothing stores where you can get lost for the day. You can even take a shark or taste. You can even take a gondola ride around Lake Dubai as if you were transported to Venice.

If you go to the Mall of the Emirates, you can go snowboarding or skiing, watch a movie or go shopping at Ski Dubai. There are many shopping malls in Dubai and many hotels offer free shuttle service to visit them where you can freely spend your hard earned money. One of the coolest things we saw before going to Dubai was Ski Dubai – an indoor ski resort. Coming from Canada, the possibility of indoor skiing is completely new.

Dubai takes everything to the next level and the shopping malls in Dubai have everything you could want in a holiday destination. From skiing to ice skating, water parks and even scuba diving in a massive aquarium, you can tell Dubai has thought of it. You never have to leave the mall! Plus, you can relax in the air conditioning to escape the Dubai heat when the desert temperature rises outside.

Just like the Bellagio in Vegas, Dubai also has its own waterfall display at the Dubai Fountain. Only the Dubai Fountain Show is bigger and better, making it the pinnacle of all fountain shows in the world. Be sure to add a visit to the Dubai Fountain to your list of Dubai attractions.

Every evening, the water and light display lasts for 10 minutes every half hour until midnight. The songs, light show and choreography change over and over again so you never have to see the same show twice. Take your seat and grab a drink at one of the lakeside restaurants where the show is taking place, or arrive 10 minutes early for a prime front-row seat right by the garden. I really liked the show myself.

The scenic flight also offers spectacular views of the Dubai skyline and the Gulf Coast. We found that Dubai was so spread out that it was difficult to see the views of the skyscrapers from different vantage points, but the flight solved that problem. Being on a scenic flight allowed me to see all of the city’s magnificent modern architecture. Watch or Scenic Dubai Flight on YouTube

Dubai is a city that is definitely meant to be seen from the air. The bird’s eye view of Palm Jumeirah is amazing. This engineering feat is hard to fathom as Dubai has built an additional 650 km of coastline for its residents to work and play. There is also a world map with hundreds of man-made islands awaiting development 14km off the coast of Dubai. The Palm Jumeirah is a wonder of the modern world. This archipelago of islands extends into the Persian Gulf and is entirely man-made.

Palm is a tourist destination in its own right, on the shores of which is located the famous Atlantis – Palm.
