If you’re looking for a specific Airbnb listing, it can be difficult to find if you don’t know the host’s name. While Airbnb doesn’t have a way to search for properties by host, there are two ways you can do it. In this article, we will show you how to search for Airbnb listings by host using Google search profiles and operators.

How To Search By Host On Airbnb

Whether you’re a first-time Airbnb user or you’ve been using the platform for years, there may come a time when you need to find an Airbnb listing by a host.

Check In Made Simple

This could be because you want to stay on a specific listing you’ve stayed on before, or because you want to find all the listings a certain host has so you can spam them with marketing material (don’t ask us how we know).

Unfortunately, Airbnb does not have a way to directly search for properties by hosts. However, this will not stop you, because there are two methods you can use to find the list you are looking for.

If you don’t know the hostname, you can try searching for a specific list that you know, more on that below. Once you are on that listing page, your host name will be listed under your profile picture.

This will be the easiest way if you already know the list of hosts. Start by going to the Airbnb website and opening the listing in question.

Airbnb Making Changes To Search Categories

Once the listing page has loaded, scroll down and look at the host’s profile picture towards the bottom of the page, where it says “Hosted by NAME”.

Here you will see the name of the person who owns the listing, as well as how long they have been an Airbnb member and how many reviews they have. Click on your profile picture and you will be taken to your personal profile page.

On the host’s profile page, you’ll be able to see all of the listings that are currently available and any that were previously available. Here you will find all the properties we offer.

How To Search By Host On Airbnb

This method is a bit advanced because it requires the Google search operator. If you don’t know, these are special characters that can be used in Google searches to limit the results.

For our purposes, we will use the “site:” operator, along with some information that we already know, such as the hostname, the location of the property we are looking for, or perhaps its name.

This will tell Google that we only want to see results from certain websites. In our case, that website will be Airbnb.

For this example, we will find all listings from a host called “Vacasa Washington” because they have many listings from all over the country, which makes it difficult to sort. Then we will find the property in a specific location, and finally we will find a specific property.

Answer: The first thing you want to do is open Google and in the search bar, type in “site:airbnb.com” followed by the name of the city or town where the listing is located, and the words “Hosted by Vacasa Washington”. This will give you list all Airbnb listings in that specific location.

Airbnb’s Search Field

But let’s say you don’t remember the location, but you remember it was hosted by them and you want to find a specific list.

In this case, use the site operator again, followed by the host name and a few phrases from the listing title that you can remember. So it will look like this: “site:airbnb.com Hosted by Vacasa Washington watch sunset from your deck”.

As simple as all of this is, that doesn’t mean there aren’t drawbacks and caveats to be aware of. These methods aren’t perfect, but they’re the only ones we have right now because Airbnb doesn’t have a way to search by host.

To find a host on Airbnb, you can browse their personal profile page linked in the property listing or use the Google search operator mentioned above.

Unfortunately, you cannot search for a specific Airbnb by name or address. However, you can find it using the Google Search Operator method if you know the host name and some other identifying factors, such as the city it’s in or some phrases from the listing title.

We hope this article helps you understand how to search for Airbnb listings by host. Although it is difficult to find a specific listing, there are two methods you can use to find what you are looking for.
