Miriam has been working in conservation for over 10 years and she founded the Papua New Guinea Institute of Biological Research. He is also Synchronicity Earth’s ‘Flourishing Diversity Program Manager’, focusing on taking into account the experience and its role in protecting biodiversity and promoting diversity.

We started by asking Miriam why she chose to work in conservation. From this, he remembers his childhood where he grew up in a remote area of the New Guinea Rockies, with the “freedom to roam and explore,” which led to his love of the natural world.
