The staff at Brookdale Kerville are very friendly and from what we’ve heard the meals look really good and they have a number of activities. However due to the value and the high cost and the increase in rates we are not sure we would recommend this community to other families right now.
After 3 years that my father was here the company changed the management and the service and the entire staff was replaced. Things went downhill fast and we had to make the decision to remove my dad for his own good.

I go every day at different times of the day and spend a few hours with my dad and we absolutely love the place and I love going there. I have yet to see a single thing I could complain about and I think that is saying a lot. It’s a smaller homey atmosphere which is perfect for my dad. The staff really care about the residents and it really shows. They have all kinds of activities like bingo, walk-in entertainment, (name removed) come in and bring them a full size Bible, they take them on rides once a week to go out, they take groups out to eat at a restaurant, etc. It’s first come, first serve to go out to eat, so if You won’t get to go that week, you are guaranteed a spot the next week. They have a Facebook page you can visit where they post pictures of things they are up to and I really enjoy it. It’s a wonderful place that even I would move to. I highly recommend Brookdale Kerville to others.
Brookdale Kerrville Assisted Living Community
We thought Brookdale Kerville was a really nice place. They were very friendly and helpful. They were our first choice, but we had a unique situation with several pets that were difficult to accommodate. And they were also out of our budget.
We chose Brookdale Kerrville because it’s a smaller facility but big enough for a place where they have a variety of activities and socialization. We felt it was more of a homely atmosphere. They have had several outbreaks of covid causing food to be sent to the rooms and operations stopped. It’s been an adjustment for him, but overall he’s fine. I would recommend to others looking.

Our loved one is currently in Brookdale and they have had covid outbreaks, they don’t clean the rooms, yes the toilets are disgusting. Your feet stick to the floor it’s so dirty. Brookdale is the pits, so many horror stores and our beloved is in hell. So disappointing.
Juniper Village Evacuated Due To Fire
My loved one has no complaints and is well taken care of. The food is fine but the management team will roll up their sleeves and help wherever and whenever they need. I would recommend this community to others.
Our family only managed to visit twice, but the community is always really nice, very clean and tidy. Our parents love it there, especially our mom. She likes to get up and do exercise classes and help bake cookies. We wanted to find a place where we feel sure that our loved ones are there, a place where their medications are taken care of and meals are provided and that is this place. They have their issues with our father, but they do a great job and we were very pleased with the staff.
I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones. The community was relative to my loved ones and good access to the nurses was given. They took care of my beloved the way I wanted them to. The room was fine for my lover.
Brookdale is known for the care and services they provide. My sister lives there and we both agree that Brookdale is the best place to live. Medication management and daily plans stand out along with group entertainment. Engaging residents in activities helps them keep their minds sharper and make their days more enjoyable. [name removed]
Waterview Assisted Living In Granbury, Tx
I appreciated the extra steps being taken by the staff at Brookdale Memory Care in Kerrville to protect our loved ones. Although we cannot currently visit face to face, we can still visit through a window using a baby monitor to communicate or the staff will help us set up a Zoom call. Thanks to all the staff who help us keep in touch with the ones we love!
My friend and client are staying at this facility. Expensive sweaters were stolen from her closet and no one was prosecuted. They don’t follow strict nutritional guidelines and give her food at night that she shouldn’t (lactose and gluten). I called the nurse today to ask why because this food gives her extreme stomach pain they told me that my friend is lying. The day nurse should have checked with the night staff because this is happening instead of calling my friend a liar. I was later told by my friend that there is a reward if she complains and that because I called and asked about the care she was getting they did not mix her food so she could not eat her dinner. She told me it was told to her by another member of staff. The final straw is that Brookdale is now suing her for not paying a bill for her meds after being told it was Brookdale’s mistake and don’t worry about it! Her only son lives outside the country and with the quarantine no one can come in to see her. Another patient who shared her room told me not to make “waves” with the staff about the theft because they would have revenge if they did!!! I would not recommend this facility. I wanted to add this: Whistleblower Lawsuit Against Brookdale: A Brookdale employee filed a lawsuit against the company alleging that its billing practices violate the False Claims Act. Brookdale supposedly for home health care without getting face-to-face documentation and required physician signatures. The lawsuit also alleges that Brookdale managers pressured employees to expedite billing and ignore compliance issues. Source site: [removed]
We placed my two in-laws with dementia at Brookdale Kerville a few months ago. They adjusted well with their two dogs. The staff is friendly. The facility is clean. They do daily activities. It is not a large facility. Sometimes I think they need more staff but overall we are happy with the facility they seem to care for their residents.
