Notes: The girls have read this book and love it so much that we have reserved the book on CD to listen to on a family trip. It’s fun for kids, but funny enough that adults won’t lose interest. Now that I see it has full page illustrations. Guess I’ll have to check it out from the library!

Notes: We started reading this after watching Studio Ghibli’s The Secret World of Arrietty. Both the book and the movie are great. Some of the vocabulary in this book is a bit difficult for newer readers; so again it would be a great read aloud.

P.s. When I put this post together, I went to my photo archive and thought I could easily find a picture of either me or my husband reading with our girls. I searched and searched through birthdays, vacations, and holidays…yet I had trouble finding photos of the special time we spent with our girls EVERY NIGHT during their toddler and preschool years.
