Atlanta Georgia Parks And Recreation – Park in the West Fourth Ward of the Old Fourth Ward in Atlanta, Georgia. Prior to 1999, it was known as Bedford-Pine Park. The operational space was created as a result of the city of Atlanta’s urban rewal in the 1960s.
The Atlanta community comes to the park for regular use and coordinated programs such as free movie nights held on select days in the spring and weekly in the summer.

Hundreds of park users were interviewed and the final design should be available by summer 2014.
The plan may include sand volleyball courts, outdoor fitness equipment, a walking/fitness trail, new basketball courts, a children’s splash pad and a full-size baseball field. All this should be done in stages, as funds are available. When summer comes, people go outside. This means family picnics, family gatherings and softball games with friends, to name a few favorite occasions.

Those looking for an affordable outdoor space for their next event will find it at this Brookhaven park. With amenities such as basketball courts, playgrounds, tennis courts, swimming pools and plenty of green space, there is no shortage of activities. Additionally, residents can rent a picnic shelter for $25 an hour. Non-residents pay $50 per hour.
In Buckhead, this 199-acre park honors soldiers killed or wounded in the Battle of Peachtree Creek in 1864. Parking facilities included
Green space, playground and paved path. The city’s website states that the green space is available for rent, but does not disclose the rate. (There’s enough grass here that a large picnic would be essentially free). But be warned: because it’s in a floodplain, the park does get flooded during heavy rains, so it can take a while to dry out, making conditions uncomfortable for an outdoor event.

Spanning 210 acres, Candler Park’s green space has, unsurprisingly, plenty of room to host any kind of outdoor event (it’s popular with hammock chairs these days). Linking notable communities such as the Old Fourth Ward, Inman Park, Poncey-Highland, Druid Hills, Virginia Highland and Little Five Points, the park is easily accessible for any event.
The Liberty Park Conservancy oversees many events in the park, but does not specify specific rental locations. Most people simply congregate on the grassy hills east of Moreland Street. Here, it is not difficult to spread a blanket, set up some chairs and gather your family and friends.

This 8-acre park offers plenty of affordable group entertainment. A picnic pavilion with restrooms can be rented for just $50 for two hours for Decatur residents. This fee doubles to $100 for non-residents. Other facilities of the park include a playground, a basketball court, two tennis courts, two multi-purpose courts and two parking lots.

This West End park with an area of nearly 21 acres has a playground, tennis court, paved paths, and a residence. Picnic shelters, and 150-person pavilions equipped with water, electricity, and restrooms are available. Booth rental rate is $150 for residents and $200 for non-residents.
The nearly 6.5-acre Kirkwood Park features a cool urban treehouse, large playground, basketball court, two tennis courts, a baseball/softball field, and a steep hill to climb or roll. For events, a 75-person booth is available to rent for $100 for residents, $150 for non-residents. Note: The stall does not include water, electricity or toilet facilities.
On the smaller side, this 3.24-acre park in Reynoldston has a picnic shelter, basketball court, and playground. It also has a ball field for rent, though the city’s website doesn’t say how much it costs. An added benefit is the nearby Eastside Beltline.

Piedmont Park is a city park in downtown Atlanta, located between the Virginia Highlands and Midtown neighborhoods. This city park is on the national list of historical places and has an area of nearly 190 hectares.
