Children enjoy activities that encourage open-ended play when the object has no specific purpose. For example, a puzzle has an end goal. A child begins by knowing how it will end. While close-up toys have their place, play toys are great for one-year-olds because they provide endless opportunities for imagination, creativity, and problem-solving.

I did research, dug into my teacher’s mind, and found the best toys for kids that encourage open-ended play. We use these toys in our children’s creative activities to keep our days moving.
